Since 2005, the full-immersion Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program at Midwest Center for Youth & Families has helped thousands of children regain control of their emotions and replace destructive coping mechanisms with positive ones. In addition, a significant percentage of our young residents also struggle with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) as a result of traumatic event(s) in their past.
For patients struggling with PTSD, their treatment and recovery becomes even more complex, and requires therapy specifically designed to help them cope. To better help those patients, the clinical staff at Midwest Center for Youth & Families has been trained in DBT Prolonged Exposure (DBT PE).
Our trained staff can help determine whether DBT PE will be a good fit for your child. Contact us for more information on this program.
