I learned so many skills and met some of the most amazing and selfless staff members here. They are there because they want to be, they care. You don't realize during your stay there how much you will benefit from the program. When you get out into the real world again, you'll truly understand how to put all your new skills to use.
I had a long history of mental health struggles that I struggled to get under control until I went to Midwest Center. There were a lot of incentives for good behavior that motivated me to listen and change. The groups and activities made it enjoyable to work on myself.
My therapist knew I could get better. I liked the fact that she didn't push me too hard but still wanted me to talk about things that challenged me. I'm so much better after I got the help I needed at Midwest Center. I'm glad I was given a second chance at life.
When I arrived at Midwest Center. I felt very alone and hopeless. It took a moment for me to open up. But when I did, the love and the family I found here was immeasurable. I will forever carry it with me. I learned how to love myself and in the right way. I couldn't be more thankful for what they did for me and continue to do for others.
Our family is so grateful for the Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program at Midwest Center! I can honestly say this program saved my daughter's life. She has learned the most effective skills from this program and continues to implement them daily! We thank her therapist here and the staff that believed in her!
